The exhibition is divided into three units:
Unit 1: "Commissioning Qin Shu"
It is divided into five spaces: the starry sky, the collection room of the Five Classics, the library, the four treasures of the study, and the literati's appreciation utensils. This unit takes the Five Classics Collection Room and the Five Classics Books as the core, highlighting that the study room is not only a space for reading, writing, and collecting books, but also a kind of sentiment and inheritance. The starry sky part connects the wall stars in the sky with the Lubi on the ground. Looking up at the starry sky expands the thinking about the context of the study and the imagination of the study space. The four treasures of the study on display highlight the ecological dependence formed between them and the literati, making people think of the calligraphy and painting art with Chinese characteristics created when they are integrated into one. In the section on ornamental objects, emphasis is placed on displaying objects that embody the Great Way of Heaven and Earth, such as jade congs, bronzes, and the five famous porcelain kilns of the Song Dynasty.
The second unit: "True Yi Ming Dao"
The main display is the feelings of family and country, highlighting the humanistic spirit of the study. In ancient times, the purpose of reading was to "cultivate one's moral character, regulate one's family, govern the country, and bring peace to the world." This unit is also divided into three spaces: self-cultivation, feelings of family and country, and looking up to the universe. The section on feelings of family and country displays calligraphy works such as Hongzhai Tiejuan by Wen Tianxiang of the Southern Song Dynasty, "Records of Zhou Jin Tang" written by Xu Wei of the Ming Dynasty, and "Records of Yueyang Tower" written by Chen Chun, highlighting the idea of ??"worrying about the world first, and rejoicing after the world is happy." "" thought, there are also two important artifacts, one is the hanging screen of Dabao Zhen, and the other is Guo Shu's traveling bell, which reflects that scholars in temples must uphold moral character, uphold justice, take the world as their own responsibility, and also live in peace. Be tired, act with loyalty, and take into account the feelings of family and country that are the best in the world.
The third unit: "Formulation of Frost and Snow"
It is divided into two spaces: Three Friends of Tongde and Yaji Singhe. Pines, bamboos and plums are both a symbol of the study and a symbol of the literati. They are both abstract and concrete. They have become a symbol of the study. The Elegant Collection is an extension of the study room. It displays the preface and postscript of the Orchid Pavilion in Mi Fu's running script from the Song Dynasty, the poems and postscripts of Yang Weizhen from the Yuan Dynasty, the Xiyuan Elegant Collection from the Ming Dynasty, the Orchid Pavilion Xiu Yuan scroll from the Shen Dynasty, as well as wine glasses. The eight pillars of the Orchid Pavilion highlight another function of the study, which is the communication between man and heaven and earth.
The entrance to the third unit of this exhibition is an immersive experience display designed with the original intention of restoring the artistic conception of the "Fragrant Snow" study room, becoming a new way for the public to understand the original space of the Forbidden City. "Xiangxue" is a study room in the Xinan Pavilion of Yangxing Hall. Emperor Qianlong personally participated in the construction. It was built after Meiwu of Yangxin Hall. White stones are piled up against the wall to create a mountain view, which expresses "Looking up at the sea of ??fragrant snow, I feel too empty and spacious." "Spiritual interest. The exhibition introduces naked-eye 3D, somatosensory interactive projection and other technologies to provide the audience with an immersive spatial experience.
