Where is Huanggang Mountain?

Huanggang Mountain, located in the core of Wuyi Mountain Range, Jiangxi Province, is a national nature reserve with an altitude of 2 158 meters, and is known as the "highest peak in the southeast of the mainland". Huanggang Mountain has not been open for tourism for a long time, and several of us made a field trip, which was an eye-opener.

Wuyi Mountain is divided into Fujian and Jiangxi provinces by the north-south water flow. Huanggang Mountain, as the main peak of Wuyi Mountain, lies between Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. For a long time in the past, Huanggang Mountain was once listed as a military restricted area, and with the careful care of the original flora and fauna of Wuyi Mountain by the state, the virgin forests here are lush and the tourism development prospects are limitless.

All the way into the mountains, the streams are clear and blue, and wild peach fruits can be seen everywhere.

Among them, there are 400 hectares of primitive hemlock and countless rare animals and plants protected by the state. Walking around a mud road, you can also see wild boar jumping out of the Woods from time to time and running wildly on the road. The tour guide said that it is winter, and wild boars often come out for food. There are many precious wild animals such as clouded leopard, black muntjac, yellow-bellied pheasant and monkey, as well as rare insects such as butterfly and labia. Visitors should be careful when entering the mountains, and don't act alone because they are greedy for beautiful scenery.

Looking down from the window, you can see Wuyi Grand Canyon, a famous crustal fracture layer at home and abroad. Although Wuyishan is located in the subtropical monsoon area, due to its high terrain, the plants in the area are obviously distributed vertically in strips, and the bamboo forest area is low below the mountain. The mountainside is covered with layers of virgin forests in the Central Asian mountains; And the top of the mountain, because it is too cold, there are few trees, and it is cold in autumn and winter, which has become a hay desert.

On the ridge is Tongmuguan, the famous pass of Fujian-Jiangxi postal road. In the past, merchants in Jiangxi and Fujian provinces used this postal route to transport materials from the two provinces. Xiongguan dangerous road, located in two ravines, is known as "the southeast of the country, the throat of Jiangxi and Fujian" and has been a battleground for military strategists for thousands of years. Before the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the imperial court stationed heavy troops here, levied tariffs and donated salt.

Climbing to the top of the mountain, the mountains "step" under your feet, and the dense fog rolls in. The surrounding peaks are scattered in the fog of the sea of clouds, just like an island in the vast sea, and there is a feeling of walking on clouds for a while (see above). The god of its scenery is breathtaking. It is said that this scene is not amazing in Wuyi. If you get up early to climb the mountain and watch the sunrise, a red sun rises slowly from the clouds and waves, which is a spectacle and can be called the best in the world. The tour guide also said that we came at a bad time. If we meet in a clear sky in Wan Li, we can expect a storm in the Taiwan Province Strait.
