Taiwan Province calligrapher Zeng Woshi

Born in a scholarly family, Zeng Woshi is a descendant of Ceng Zi, and his father was a teacher who taught Chinese characters during the Japanese occupation. Perhaps it is for this reason that he has an extraordinary talent in calligraphy. When I was a four-year-old child, I was good at holding huge sums of money, hanging my wrist and waving my hair. I was true, thick, official and printed. I used a heavy and powerful pen, and my words were smart and fluent. My left and right hands could hold a twist pen. At the age of five, Zeng Walsh held a solo exhibition in his hometown Tainan Folk Education Museum and became a famous figure in Fucheng. At the age of six, he was invited to participate in the "Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in Memory of Guangfu" held in Zhongshan Hall, Taipei, setting a record for the youngest artist exhibited in Zhongshan Hall. After the visit, the famous calligrapher Cao Qiupu praised him and wrote an inscription for him "Good memory." . Since then, the reputation of "calligraphy prodigy" has spread all over the calligraphy circle and Fucheng Township in Taiwan Province Province.

Because Zeng Woshi's fame is so loud, all the teachers in the school think that his calligraphy is not as good as his own, so they are embarrassed to guide him again, so they often have to explore for themselves. Nevertheless, his calligraphy level is increasing day by day. 1967, 25-year-old Zeng Woshi won the first excellent calligraphy exhibition for young members of China Calligraphy Society.

1973, Zeng Woshi went to Brunei with his family for work reasons.

Zeng Woshi lived in Nanyang for nearly 20 years and returned to Taiwan Province Province in 1993. As an artist, he thinks this experience of spreading and developing China culture in a foreign land is commendable. Because he has personally engaged in cultural promotion, he deeply regrets the lack of promotion of calligraphy art by the Taiwan provincial government. He said: "Chinese is the most beautiful writing in the world, but unfortunately the government does not pay attention to it, especially when it is presented in Chinese calligraphy." "The government doesn't do it, we do it ourselves! In the exclamation of Zeng Wo's poems, he also revealed his pride in his youth.

Zeng Woshi, with the aura of prodigy, was not lost in the applause of fame. After returning to Taiwan Province Province, Zeng Woshi continued his calligraphy study and creation, and his new works continued. Invited to participate in exhibitions or hold solo exhibitions many times. His calligraphy can be seen in Taipei, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Penghu, Yunlin, Chiayi, Taiwan Province Province from north to south, and even outlying islands.

With the growth of age, Zeng Wo's poems have surpassed one in the field of pen and ink. Because of his straightforward personality and humor, he has been called "old urchin" in recent years. Guo Huiya, who has been friends with Zeng Woshi for more than ten years, said: "Ceng Laoshi is very straightforward, but his argument actually has his truth, but his words are more direct. 」

Zeng Woshi wrote in the self-report of his work Sixty Comments on Selected Works: "I hope to write pleasant and beautiful works, and leave the rest to others to judge. If there is any dispute, let God handle it. Compared with those artists who strive for fame, Zeng Woshi, who became famous in his early years, took the opposite road, that is, escaping glory and enjoying more freedom. He said, "Speaking of fame, I was famous when I was a child. Too much care about fame, on the contrary, binds yourself. Calligraphy creation is to be natural and open-minded and really up to standard. Without it, even if it has a high reputation now, it will not stay in the future. 」

20 13 Tomb-Sweeping Day, Ceng Laoshi died at the age of 7 1 year.
