Susan Temple, located in the west of Meishan City, Sichuan Province, is the former residence of China famous writers Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe. Originally a five-acre courtyard, it was changed to a shrine in the Yuan Dynasty and was destroyed by fire in the late Ming Dynasty. In the 4th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1665), it was rebuilt on the original site. After expansion and transformation, it now covers an area of 86 mu. Susan Temple not only maintains the style of Su's former residence, but also embodies the simplicity and profundity of the temple garden architecture.
