Xianshan Park attractions introduction:
Xishan, located in the west of the Porcelain City River, connected to Xianshan in the south Yueshan Mountain is adjacent to Lu River in the north. "Fangyu Shenglan" records that Li Jing of Tang Dynasty once stationed troops here. There was originally a portrait of Li Jing carved on the stone wall, and later Jingxing Temple was built on the mountainside. Therefore, Xishan Mountain is also called Jingxing Mountain. There are rhododendrons and dense jungles all over the mountain.
The poet Hanwu of the Tang Dynasty wrote about Jingxing Temple: "The azalea branches are so colorful." Wang Shouren passed the Jingxing Temple and wrote a poem: "I can't see the temple across the water, but I hear the clear chime coming. I have pointed to the top of the peak. On the way, I started to look at the cloud platform. The sun and moon are hidden in the cave sky, and the wind and thunder are hidden in the pond. It was built as Fairy Mountain Park in 1993.
On the right side of Jingxing Temple is the Temple of Famous Song Dynasty Officials, which honors Wu Lie, Pi Longrong, Yang Dayi and other famous officials of the Southern Song Dynasty who fought against the Jin Dynasty and were giants of the Hunan School in Li. The wall of the hall is embedded with the inscription "The Ancestral Records of Famous Officials of the Song Dynasty" written by Huang Ziyuan. There is a thousand-year-old camphor in front of the temple. To the right of the temple is Lujiang Academy, and at the lower right corner of the academy is the Heart-Cleaning Spring. Exit the back gate of the academy and climb the mountain to the right, where you will find the Hongfu Tomb. It is said that Hong Fu accompanied Li Jing when he was in Ping Ling Gui. He died of illness in Liling and was buried in Xishan. Nearby are the tombs of celebrities such as Fu Xiongxiang, Yang Zhaopeng and Chen Shengfang.
Going up to the left about 300 meters from the mountain behind the academy, there is the tomb of Ning Tiaoyuan, the pioneer of the democratic revolution. Next to it is the Taiyi Pavilion. There are two sides of bluestone embedded in the pavilion. At one moment, Lin Sen, the chairman of the National Government, gave an order of praise, and at the next moment he was monitoring. Dean and famous calligrapher Yu Youren wrote "Ning Taiyi Monument Notes". On the tomb is a stone tablet with the words "Mr. Ning Taiyi's Tomb" written by Cheng Qian. During the Cultural Revolution, the stone structure of the cemetery was damaged and the pavilion was destroyed and the monument was lost. After the Cultural Revolution, the teachers' training school recovered two steles, and the inscriptions written by Yu Youren were erected in the courtyard under the examination shed of Lujiang Academy. The Provincial Department of Culture allocated funds to repair the tomb and listed it as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. Wulao Peak stands on the mountain behind the academy. It is said that a woodcutter saw the five elders gathering on the mountain and looked at them, but they turned into stone.
Up the mountain from the south gate of the park, there is a swimming pool, multiple playgrounds, and sculptures of people and various animals. Winding paths, waterside pavilions and corridors, birds singing and flowers fragrant. When you enter the north gate of the park, go up the stairs to the right and you will find the Martyrs Cemetery. Next up is the monument to General Zuo Quan, covering an area of ??1,400 square meters, surrounded by stone fences and planted with evergreens. The monument is 3 meters high and has a 5.5-meter-high statue of General Zuo Quan cast in white cement.
The front of the monument is embedded with a marble inscription titled "Monument to General Zuo Quan" by Deng Xiaoping.
