Kong Decheng’s artistic resume

Kong Decheng, Han nationality, is from Xingcheng, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, and his ancestral home is Shandong Province. In 1973, he was selected from poor and lower-middle-class farmers and sent to Xingcheng Agricultural Machinery School. After returning to the city in 1980, he was assigned to the pipe network workshop of the former Machinery Branch of Jinxi Chemical General Plant, where he worked as a worker in a group of pipe workers and also served as a workshop poster. In 1983, the pipe network workshop was canceled and restored to the automobile supply workshop of the power branch plant. In 1989, the branch plant was separated and assigned to the boiler workshop of the thermal power plant, where he served as a full-time reporter for the workshop. From 1989 to 1994, he was rated as an outstanding communications reporter by the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the former Jinxi Chemical General Plant for five consecutive years, and won many first to third prizes. In 1983, calligraphy and seal cutting works were selected for a calligraphy and seal cutting art photography exhibition to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Mao Zedong. In 1985, his seal cutting works participated in the National Youth Art, Calligraphy and Photography "Chang'an" Gold Medal Competition. In 1992, his hard-pen calligraphy works were selected for the National Calligraphy Grand Prix organized by the Chinese Modern Calligraphy Research Association. In 1995, his hard-tipped calligraphy works were selected for the first "Pioneer Cup" National Hard-tipped Calligraphy Art Exhibition, and his works were compiled into the "Award-winning Works Collection". In 1995, his seal cutting works were selected into the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Learning from Comrade Kong Fansen and won the Excellence Award. In 1996, his seal cutting works were included in the "Selected National Painting and Calligraphy Works from Learning from Comrade Kong Fansen". In 1997, his seal cutting works were selected for the second "Youth Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition; he won the first prize in the adult category and was awarded the seventh-dan rank.
