After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Hu Gang successively served as a special representative of the first and second people's congresses in Guiyang, a member of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Revolutionary Committee and a member of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. 196 1 year 10 As an old man of the Xinhai Revolution in Guizhou, he attended the 50th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution in Beijing. Hu Gang worked for the old democratic revolution all his life and made many contributions to the recovery uprising, the movement to protect the country and the Northern Expedition in Guizhou. After liberation, he supported the line, principles and policies of China's * * * production party, and made suggestions and spared no effort to revitalize Guizhou. He is proficient in writing, vigorous in calligraphy, both civil and military, and has made great contributions to sorting out the historical documents of this province. The posthumous work "Experience and Understanding of the Revolution of 1911 in Guizhou" (contained in the tenth series of Selected Works of Guizhou Literature and History) is the first-hand information of the "three relatives" and has important historical value for studying the history of the Revolution of 1911 in Guizhou.
