Celadon is a special style and a congratulatory message to heaven when Taoism holds a grand ceremony. It is not difficult to understand that the green word itself has a grand taste and cannot be written casually. Blue words are characterized by flowery rhetoric, neat antithesis and good luck. Among the emperors of the past dynasties, Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty was a famous lover of Qing Ci, and he appreciated and admired the style of Qing Ci very much.
How much did Emperor Jiajing like Qing Ci? When selecting and employing people, he didn't pay attention to talent, character and family background. As the first consideration, but the point is how the person writes green words. To put it bluntly, if Qing Ci is well written, it can be reused by Jiajing. So in the seventeenth year of Jiajing, a somewhat special phenomenon appeared. Among his fourteen cabinet ministers, as many as nine were promoted for writing green words, including Xia Yan and Yan Shifan, and even the famous Xu Jie was reused by Jiajing for writing green words.
It is not difficult to understand why Emperor Jiajing likes to let cabinet ministers write in green, rather than those so-called gifted scholars. Because of this causal relationship, all the people who are good at writing green words and are willing to write green words are accepted by him as the cabinet. Who else do you need to find talented people? It is a major feature of Emperor Jiajing that he likes Qing Ci to this extent.
