In the dog days, the grass in the Buddhist temple is yellow in a large area.
"Come and have some grass seeds! How ugly! " The young monk said. "When the weather gets cold." Master waved, "anytime!"
On the Mid-Autumn Festival, Master bought a bag of grass seeds and told the young monk to sow. When the autumn wind comes, the grass seeds are scattered. "good! Many seeds have been blown away. " Cried the young monk. "It doesn't matter, most of them are empty. If they are scattered, they won't germinate." Master said, "Whatever!"
After sowing the seeds, several birds flew in to peck them. "It hurts me! The seeds have been eaten by birds! " The young monk stamped his feet anxiously. "It doesn't matter! There are many kinds of seeds that can't be eaten! " Master said, "Anyway!"
It rained in the middle of the night, and the young monk rushed into the meditation room in the morning. "master! This is really over! Many grass seeds have been washed away by the rain! " "Where to rush, where to sprout!" Master said, "Follow fate!"
A week has passed. In fact, many green grass seedlings have grown on the bare ground: some corners that have not been sown have also turned green. The young monk clapped his hands for joy. Master nodded. "Happy!"
This Zen story tells us that life should be natural.
Do it deliberately, but ask for it.
Laozi said: "Heaven and earth have no push, the sun and the moon are self-evident, the stars are self-ordered, and animals are self-made. This is natural, why bother? " The reason why people are born, so they have nothing, so they are proud, so they are ashamed, and there are natural principles and natural ways. "
Everything in the world, spring, summer, autumn and winter are orderly, spring grows in summer, autumn harvests in winter, and stars struggle, all of which are natural. Man is also a member of nature. Life and death, honor and disgrace, gains and losses are also natural. As long as you "follow the principle of nature and follow the way of nature", everything will be right. If you do it on purpose, it's against nature, just like a man chasing a runaway while playing drums. The greater the blow, the farther people run.
As the saying goes: intentional flowers cannot bloom. What you do at will is easy to do; What you deliberately do can't be done well. The reason is mental interference.
The ancients often said, let nature take its course and keep a normal heart. The logic behind it is that in the natural state, people can exert their greatest potential and achieve the best results without mental interference.
Let nature take its course and get twice the result with half the effort.
In this world, people know what "let nature take its course" means, but few people do it. The root cause of it is that I don't know how to stop.
Laozi said: "It is not dangerous to know, and it is not humiliating to know it."
Zhuangzi said: "People should not consider running water, but stop water. Only can stop the public. "
One of the company's ongoing projects has a potential safety hazard, warning people to stop. If you turn a blind eye and persist, it will delay the progress of the project and bring losses.
An inappropriate personal relationship should have ended long ago, but many people have been arguing about it, hesitating and struggling, and can't "stop" in time, thus hurting their energy when they are injured.
Stop, not give up, but wait patiently, seek a new way out, continue to work hard and wait for the next opportunity.
Laozi said: "My words are easy to know and easy to do, and I don't know what the world can't do."
It means that what you say is easy to understand and practice, but others can't do it. If you let go, give up, forget and let nature take its course, everything will be solved soon.
Let nature take its course, not wait passively, but follow the law and conform to the trend.
A person's life, ups and downs, joys and sorrows, everything goes with the flow. If you don't persist, don't remember and don't put too much subjective emotion, then, no matter how big or small, it is natural.
The correct way is: the momentum is coming, and we follow the trend; When the tide goes out, you must know how to stop, so that you can get twice the result with half the effort.
Let nature take its course and don't make a fuss.
The ancients said: "What's going on in the world can't be satisfactory. I must be comfortable, do my best and have fun with it. "
-poet Su Shi, who experienced ups and downs and thorns in his official career, was excluded. However, Su Shi adheres to the law of "Nature of Heaven and Earth", and goes with the flow to enrich his life. In boring and depressing days, he indulged in cooking delicacies, linked poetry with life, and forgot the troubles of life, leaving many well-known poems for future generations.
-Xu Xiake was a famous geographer in Ming Dynasty. He has walked all his life, and he has no intention of fame and fortune. He wrote Xu Xiake's Travels. As the saying goes, "thousands of books is not as good as Wan Li Road." Xu Xiake told us with his own actions that life needs nature, and twisting melons is actually not delicious.
-Master Hongyi's common name is Li Shutong, and he has always been a university teacher, Taoist priest and monk. However, his frequent identity changes, like still water and still eyes, never caused too much ripple. Master Hongyi naturally found the direction and true meaning of life with his indifferent attitude. Become a famous musician, art educator, calligrapher and one of the pioneers of China's drama.
"Caigen Tan" said: "The rope saws the wood, and the water drops the stone, and the scholar needs to work hard; Water comes naturally, melons are ripe, and those who get the word are secret. "
In the long life, we often can't see the road ahead clearly. Since we have tried our best, we can't force life to give us anything in return. We might as well face everything with a calm mind.
Of course, letting nature take its course is not self-destructive, self-destructive, casual and cynical, but gain without joy and lose without worry.
There are flowers in spring, moons in autumn, cool breeze in summer and snow in winter. Everything should be born at the right time, and life should be happy with it. Don't take great shame, transcend sorrow and joy, and stop with fate.
