At the age of 14, he studied calligraphy, painting and seal cutting with Fu Shuda. Seal carving was first practiced in the Qin and Han Dynasties, followed by other masters in Zhejiang and Anhui, with a preference for Huang Yi, Xigang, and Chen Mansheng. Wu Changshuo, Chen Hengke, Zhao Guni, Qi Baishi, and Deng Sanmu all studied it with great concentration. The seal is green, simple and thick, solemn and elegant. He is also good at calligraphy.
