What is "sadness"? It is a person's life, after all, it is "nine times out of ten unhappy things", and few things go smoothly.
What is a "heart"? It is the feeling of where will you go and epiphany that people can face this cruel life calmly after suffering.
Then, the so-called "mixed feelings of sadness and joy" seems to refer to the matter of life. Because life is made up of people's joys and sorrows.
But the happier you are, the more you will get carried away. And the more sad, the more people will fall into a painful situation.
Then, only when people jump out of sadness and joy and get rid of the obsession of people's life can they truly understand the meaning of "the intersection of sadness and joy"
Buddha said: Desire is hell. Why do earthly people live so painfully? A very important reason is that I can't let go. I can't let go of my obsession, my desire, the essence of my life.
In fact, these three lingering desires will eventually be a hell of a person's life.
Impatient desires can hurt life. Master Hongyi has a saying: "A rough mind and impetuous nature are useless. Peace of mind, harmony and harmony. " If a person's ideas are rude, impatient and difficult to be meticulous, then he will accomplish nothing in the end.
And if a person, he can achieve calm, or quiet self-cultivation, then he will gather thousands of peaceful breath and let him be reborn.
In today's fast-paced society, most people are getting farther and farther on the road of "impatience". In fact, this is a kind of self-created pain.
When we teach our child to read, we must make sure that he can get the first place in the exam immediately. In the end, children and parents have conflicts and have no self-confidence.
We work hard in the workplace, offending others for a temporary performance, or fidgeting. In the end, you will find yourself in an "embattled" situation.
It can be said that the more impatient people are, the less happy they are, the less calm they are, and the less handsome they are.
As Laozi said, "Silence is the best thing in the world." Only when people are calm can people become quiet, which is the right way in the world. Otherwise, it's just desire, and let yourself be led by desire.
The obsession with gain and loss is painful for a lifetime. Master Hongyi once said, "It makes people feel good to be detached from themselves. Nothing is clear, some are decisive. Proud and indifferent, frustrated and calm. " The so-called "natural detachment" means that people have a broad heart, can tolerate everything and will not be disturbed by trivial things.
As human beings, we should be calm, no matter what you are facing, whether it is difficult or arduous, we should not take the status quo too seriously anyway.
Why?
Because all the status quo will eventually pass. And what you have experienced is already history. No matter how hard you struggled at that time, it didn't help.
Just like the success or failure, honor or disgrace we often struggle with, no matter how much you regret it, it will have no effect after all. You can only choose to let go and make peace with the past.
To see through "gains and losses", we must first understand what "gains and losses" are.
Whether you gain or lose, it is a temporary thing and will change. As long as people can calm their inner obsession, they can reach the realm of "not being happy with things, not being sad for themselves".
No gain, no loss, no loss, no gain. The world is "busy" after all.
The obsession with struggle makes people the target of public criticism. Master Hongyi said: "People who lead step by step will be squeezed. Everything is a winner, and someone will beat it. " Those who often like to take the lead step by step will eventually be squeezed out by others.
And a person who wants to win everything, his final result is only targeted by the joint.
This is related to Li Kang's saying that "the wood in the forest is beautiful and the wind will destroy it".
Just like a towering tree in the forest, if it is too tall and straight, it will be disturbed by more wind and rain.
And if this big tree can't hold its head too high and keep its edge, then it may suffer less damage and its life will be more stable.
By the same token, in the workplace, most people want to win others, or want to occupy a place in a certain aspect. In fact, this practice should not be too extreme.
Strive for it properly, which is a kind of wisdom of "striving for progress while being steady". If you are too impatient and too competitive, you will attract others to boycott.
Whether it is offending a person or a group of people, this should not be done. Because in society, the best state of people is to make more friends and less enemies.
A western entrepreneur once said that it is your ability to pull the enemy to your side and do things for you. For us ordinary people, we should not make enemies for trivial things, but move forward silently for the sake of developing ourselves. Only focusing on getting rich is the last word.
In this way, indisputable is a great struggle, and the world can't compete with the indisputable.
