In 2004, the number of psychiatrists in China reached 16000. The first Committee of China Psychiatric Association was established in 1995, with Zhang Mingyuan as the chairman, Shen Fishing Village and Yang Desen as the vice chairmen, and Zhou Dongfeng as the academic secretary. In the second Committee of 1998, Wang Junfeng was elected as the chairman, vice chairman, academic secretary Zou Yizhuang and working secretary Shi as members. In the third Committee in 2003, Chairman Zhou Dongfeng, Sun, Academic Secretary Zou Yizhuang and Working Secretary Wang.
