1, the origin of Xu Beihong
Xu Beihong was born in a relatively poor family. I studied poetry, calligraphy and painting with my father since I was a child (at the age of 6, I read four books and five classics with my father and then learned painting). Xu Beihong, born in a civilian family in Qitingqiao Town, was originally named Xu and later renamed "Beihong". My father, Xu, is a teacher in a local private school. He is good at poetry, calligraphy and painting. He often paints at the invitation of his fellow villagers to make up for his family with his meager income. Mother Lu is a simple working woman. At the age of 9, Xu Beihong began to learn painting from his father. Every day after lunch, he copied a painting of Wu Youru, a famous painting in the late Qing Dynasty, and learned painting skills such as color mixing and setting. 10 years old, I can already help my father fill in the minor parts of the picture, and I can also write Spring Festival couplets such as "Peace through the year and Happy Birthday" for the villagers.

Xu Beihong is good at sketching, oil painting and Chinese painting. He integrated western artistic skills into Chinese painting and created a novel and unique style. His sketches and oil paintings fully penetrated the charm of Chinese painting. His creative themes are wide-ranging: landscapes, flowers and birds, animals, people, history and myths, all of which are lifelike.
