Tian Xuzhong’s profile

Tian Xuzhong, male, is a national first-class artist, calligrapher, painter, and writer. He is good at traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, and is good at writing prose and commentary. He specializes in ink paintings of horses and figures, and his works are full of style, spirit and interest. He is good at all styles of calligraphy, especially continuous cursive calligraphy. In the mid-1980s, Tian Xuzhong carefully created the longest scroll of Mao Zedong's poems in cursive script, which is 83 meters long. It contains 66 poems composed by Mao Zedong in his life. It was selected as the longest cursive scroll of Mao Zedong's poems by the China World Records Association. Xinhua News Agency praised him as the first calligrapher in China to interpret Mao Zedong's poems in cursive script.
