Gu Tinglong, No.,went diving. Suzhou people. He used to be the director of Chinese interview in yenching university Library. In 1939, he co-founded Shanghai Hezhong Library and served as the director-general. Later, he served as a professor at Jinan University and Guanghua University. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as the director of Shanghai Historical Literature Library, the director of Shanghai Library, the adjunct professor of East China Normal University, the editor-in-chief of the Bibliography of Rare Chinese Ancient Books, and the member of the National Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee of the Ministry of Culture. Gu Tinglong graduated from Shanghai Zhizhi University with a bachelor's degree in literature in 1931. In 1933, he graduated from the Chinese Literature Department of Beijing yenching university Research Institute with a master's degree in literature. After liberation, he donated nearly 3, ancient books and precious modern Chinese and foreign documents collected by Hezhong Library over the past ten years to the country, making them an important part of the collection of Shanghai Library.
