How to Train Hard Pen Calligraphy

To learn hard-pen calligraphy, we must first study other people's masterpieces. In order to have both spirit and action, copying is essential. By copying, we can make the font more beautiful, conform to the statutes, understand its brushwork and brushwork rules, and finally finalize the design and integration. The process of replication can be roughly divided into three stages:

The first stage: practicing the stroke box. Write it word for word against the original post. At this stage, it is required to master the basic brushwork and the structural characteristics of the font rack until you can remember the words in the template more accurately.

The second stage: master the form and spirit of the model. While writing a template, practice writing poems that interest you by using the methods of writing and writing that you have mastered in the learning process. The third stage: form your own calligraphy style. While practicing writing constantly, I extensively dabbled in the information of regular script and running script in past dynasties according to my own interests, studied the relationship between regular script and running script, and gradually created more mature hard-pen calligraphy works, forming my own calligraphy style.
