Pingxi Township is full of talents. Pingxi Village has come out of the mountains in the past dynasties, including Zhou Hai, the Tongzhi of Guangping Prefecture in the Song Dynasty, and Zhou Zhimian, the Tongjian of Chuzhou, Jiangxi; Zhou Lu, the Prime Minister of Qingtian County in Chuzhou, Zhou Lu in the Yuan Dynasty, Zhou Xuewen, the governor of the third year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty, and Zhou Shan, the Dianshi of Jinyun County in Chuzhou; the Ming Dynasty Li Cai, the magistrate of Yingshang County, Zhili Province, Zhou Liang, the chief registrar of Yongjia, Zhejiang, Zhou Hai, the inspector of Heyuan County, Guangdong, Zhou Shiming, the instructor of Ruian County, Zhejiang, Zhou Yude, the instructor of Wuchuan County, Guangdong, and Zhou Wenluan, the instructor of Jiangshan County, Zhejiang; during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, he was granted the title of Imperial Councilor. Zhou Damo, Zhou Zebo in the ninth year of Xianfeng, and Zhou Bugao in the first year of Tongzhi; Zhou Shaolian of Huanxi Village was born in Linsheng in the late Qing Dynasty. His grandfather Xiang was born, his father was Zengsheng, and his son Gong was born. The provincial admiral gave him a plaque of "Four Generations of Scholars" to commend him. During the Republic of China, Zhou Zhuangyi served as the chief of staff of the 146th Brigade of the 49th Division of the National Government. Zhou Yuwen was born in the late Qing Dynasty and served as a member of the Fujian Provincial Government in the seventh year of the Republic of China. Zhou Fen, the county magistrate of Fuqing County in the Republic of China. Zhou Shuen, a student of the Qing Dynasty, wrote the book "Essentials on Cholera" and developed a versatile elixir. In the eighth year of the Republic of China, cholera was prevalent in Jianou County, and countless patients were cured. In the Qing Dynasty, calligraphers Li Yansen, Li Kuiguang and Li Zhiguang of Nanxi Village were famous in the town. During the Republic of China, Li Guanghua and Li Weifan from Yuanjiadun Village graduated from the Police Department and Law Department of Peking University respectively.
After the reform and opening up, another group of talents came to the fore. Zhang Jiangping, ranked first in liberal arts in the county in the 1985 College Entrance Examination; Huang Xiang, ranked first in the county in liberal arts in the 1999 College Entrance Examination; Zhou Kun, ranked first in the county in science in the 2000 College Entrance Examination; Wen Jinhui, ranked first in the county in science in the 2004 College Entrance Examination; Wei Yang ranked first in science in the county in the 2008 College Entrance Examination. In 1984, Li Dianwei founded "the first farmers' station in the country", making Nanxi Village famous throughout the country. Entrepreneur Zhang Xianlin never forgets to give back to his hometown when he gets rich. He pledged 5 million yuan to the county education fund alone.
