The main attractions of Zhonglun Park

The first phase of Zhonglun Park covers an area of 250,000 square meters, and the construction content includes two entrances, namely the west entrance of Jinshang Road and the north entrance of Lvling Road near Caitang, with supporting night scenes. There will also be two parking lots, two environmentally-friendly public toilets and some garden sketches, as well as a garden road connecting the two entrances and several hiking trails.

Entering from the north gate of Lvling Road Park, there are 100 mu of peach blossom forest on both sides of the road, which is a major feature of Zhonglun Park. More than 3,000 peach trees are several meters high, and more than 300 peach trees are planted at intervals, which is only about 1 meter high. It is the first time to introduce peach blossoms in such a large area in Xiamen.

Not far along the forest road in the park, you will see a banyan square with a diameter of about 38 meters. It is said that the big banyan tree in the square is 500 years old, which is not the longest in Zhonglun Park! The square is all paved with natural granite, which retains the natural style in design.

The Lotus Peak at the west entrance is another highlight of Zhonglun Park. According to experts, the Lotus Peak was originally a rock arch, with lush trees on the peak and a lotus seat, hence the name. The peak is suddenly enlightened, the mountain looks at the lotus water, and the beautiful scenery is unique, which is called "Feng Shui Stone" by the residents in this area.

In the second and third stages of the park, some trees with different flowering periods will be planted, such as peach blossoms and rape blossoms in spring, phoenix trees in summer, bougainvillea in autumn and kapok and ivory red in winter. Zhonglun Park will become a park with the theme of four seasons flowers. Shen Xiao Palace is located in Shunji Palace in He Shen, Xiamen. Shen Xiao Palace has a long history and was built in the Song Dynasty.

Now it is located in Zhonglun Park (Zhonglun nursery). There have been many reconstructions in history, and the last one was in 1993. Overlooking Shen Xiao Palace from a height, surrounded by green trees, surrounded by green trees, flowers are in full bloom. Walking into Shen Xiao Palace is like walking into a green world and a sea of flowers. All kinds of flowers and trees are strewn at random, which makes people feel relaxed and happy.

People living here generally live a long life, which is not only related to the superior environment here, but also the hard-working villagers are blessed by Mazu. There are several stories circulating here:

The palace is dedicated to the Virgin in the sky-Mazu, Tianzungong, Guandi Gong, Niangniang, General Ma and Tiger, Tu Gong, Marshal Zhong You, Jinyun, Liu Bei and Zhang Fei.

Every year, on the 15th day of the first month of the Lantern Festival, the temple will hold performances to admire the gods (Taiwanese opera) and Mazu.

Travel around the world, bless the country and people, and have a good weather.

Every year on March 23rd of the lunar calendar, villagers from Shen Xiao Palace make a pilgrimage to Shunji Palace in He Shen. Once, Mazu went to Hecuoshunji Palace in Shen Xiao Palace. Mazu appeared, found thieves in Hecuo people's house, and asked prodigies to catch thieves. Finally, the thief was caught. This story has been circulated in He CuO and even in Xiamen. On another occasion, I went to Shunji Palace to make pilgrimages, and it happened that a villager in Hecuo was blocked by bamboo silk for several days while eating. Just as he was dying, Mazu appeared and immediately discharged the small bamboo filaments from his body. This villager is flat.

Nothing happened, which became a popular story. Another time, in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Japan attacked Xiamen, and Shen Xiao Palace put straw. The Japanese wanted to set fire to the temple, but they couldn't afford it. The japs were frightened. This is even more amazing! There are many legends and stories that make Shen Xiao Palace famous, so pilgrims often come here to worship, and the incense is flourishing.

Villagers in Zhonglun society set up incense tables to welcome the holy driving.

Palace couplets are:

God bless the countryside to attract hundreds of blessings, and protect the country from thousands of auspicious nights.

The sound of stone drums was played on the radar, and the temple was completely new. In the process of building Zhonglun Park, a huge stone resembling a parrot was accidentally found in the weeds, and two motorcycles were engraved on the stone, which has never been recorded in the history of literature.

Cliff carvings walk from Jinshang Road to Peking University Biological Park, and you can see three big stones standing on the cleaned hillside. The top of a boulder in the middle seems to be intentionally sharpened, just like a bird's beak. The sharpened lower part is like a bird's body, and it looks around warily and perches on a boulder. Under the boulder, there is also a hole that can accommodate more than a dozen people.

According to the managers of Zhonglun Nursery and local villagers, during the Golden Gate artillery battle, many shells fell from the other side of Wu Tong, and some villagers were unfortunately hit. The frightened villagers ran to the caves among the boulders to hide, and many people escaped the war. Later, there was a period of civil strife on the island, and the rocks behind the boulder were blown away, while the stones in front were still preserved. As for the words carved on the stone, they have never known them because they have been covered with weeds for a long time.

The inscription on the boulder cliff is very shallow, but the three characters of "Ying Ge Stone" carved in the running script are still clearly visible. There is also a five-line regular script next to it, and the signature is "Lianjiang Lin Zhang Huan". According to the preliminary research by the experts of literature and history in our city, these two new cliff stone carvings which have not been discovered by Xiamen literature and history scholars are Ying Ge Stone written by Yu Yu, a famous contemporary scholar, poet and calligrapher in China. The other is the inscription Lotus Peak, a geomantic stone of 1928 (that is, in the seventeenth year of the Republic of China).

Hong Buren, an expert in literature and history, consulted various versions of local chronicles, but found no records about "Ying Ge Stone" and "Lotus Peak". "I think there are at least two breakthroughs in the discovery of this scenic spot. First, it was lost in the weeds before, and no one found that the scenic spot was not recorded in Xiamen Annals of the Republic of China, which filled a gap in local chronicles. On the other hand, with the construction of Zhonglun Park, this will become a major cultural highlight of the new park. "
