The pagoda was originally located at Hongji Road in Wu Miao Street (near the intersection of Shengli Road and Jiefang Road). Because there is the word "Sui" on the tower brick, it is said that it was built in the Sui Dynasty. Japanese imperialism invaded China and shelled the tower three times, which made the upper part of the tower slightly inclined, but it still stood tall. During the Cultural Revolution, Shenta was regarded as the "four elders" and was completely disfigured. In particular, the tablet of "Ancient God and Bo Guo" was written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. Because of the age, the two characters at the bottom of the inscription can only be recognized by wind and rain, and the original still exists. It is an important cultural relic of Xinyang, but it was not spared under the wave of "breaking the capitalism" during the Cultural Revolution. This is really something that Xinyang people will always hate.
Zhang Yue's original poem "Tower of Zhao Hui";
Why did you leave an isolated tower? You don't remember the floor. Lush and harmonious, the dawn is condensed.
Yushu can lean against the wind, but golden stems can bear it. In this state, there are colorful pens everywhere, and it is interesting to watch them fly around.
