For their daily life, I personally went to the prison to understand a wave, which is actually not so mysterious.
The first is eating. In terms of food, the prison naturally eats the canteen, and many places in the canteen are also used by prisoners to cook, which means that if you have a skill, such as cooking well, you can use it in prison. As for food, every place is different, depending on the prison level and specific management regulations.
But as far as I can see, it is still very healthy, at least it won't make you hungry.
The second is to live. Rooms in different prisons have different standards, some are six rooms and some are four rooms. The specific situation needs specific analysis, but the general structure is similar to that of university dormitory, but the door is not the same. What I saw was an electrically controlled iron gate. The lights were turned off at night and there was no mobile phone for you to play with. Moreover, the way you get in touch with fresh information from the outside world is nothing more than reading books or organizing some activities in prison, so you are still very lonely psychologically.
That reform-through-labour prison can't shut you up for nothing. Food, shelter, medical care, logistics, etc. It costs money. In addition, labor is a way to purify the mind. Didn't a poet write "labor with both hands, spiritual comfort"? So necessary labor is indispensable, such as farming, making umbrellas and making clothes. Many prisoners even learned a trade in prison.
Personally, I think that labor is a better way of education. During the Three Kingdoms period, Hua Tuo said, "If the human body wants to work, it can't be used to the extreme." Necessary manual labor is not only beneficial to health, but also beneficial to the education and reform of criminals. Of course, this kind of labor is also unpaid and belongs to the criminal's legal obligation, but if it is done well, there may be rewards, such as improving food.
Moreover, labor will also enable prisoners to master skills. Maybe when they get out of prison, they can make a living by themselves, right?
Finally, what is the prisoner's spiritual life? Education, of course. Prisons regularly organize various activities and offer courses to educate and reform criminals. Besides, some prisons also have books for you to read and study, so your daily life is quite substantial. After all, it is a combination of punishment and reform. If you make a makeover and turn over a new leaf, you can even practice writing in it or something.
Of course, in prisons, military and management are generally practiced, and obedience is the most important thing. Your spiritual life activities are barrier-free only if you obey the educational management and perform well.
To sum up, it is my immature view on this issue and does not represent any reference suggestions. If there is anything wrong, please criticize and correct me.
