Brief introduction of Xia Xiangping's art

He used to be the first, second and third executive director of China Calligraphers Association and the creative evaluation member of China Calligraphers Association. The third executive director of China Artists Association and the judge of the national art exhibition.

He is currently the vice president of China People's Liberation Army Calligraphy Creation Institute. Calligraphy, good at painting, inherited family studies since childhood, was inspired by inscriptions by Yan Zhenqing, He, Deng, and later learned extensively. Xia Xiangping has long been engaged in the organization and leadership of fine arts and calligraphy in the whole army. In his busy spare time, he still worked tirelessly and explored in the pool, combining the creative concept and structural layout of painting with calligraphy creation, and achieved good artistic results. Xia Xiangping's official script is graceful and elegant, lyrical and meaningful, interesting and unique, and is known as the "Li Xia" in the world. For decades, he has gone deep into the army and created many paintings and calligraphy works, praising the * * * production party, the people's army and the socialist motherland. His giant stone tablets, such as Monument to the 10th Anniversary of Tangshan Earthquake, Monument to Quyuan Lisao in Miluo River and Monument to Chaoyang Pavilion, are called the monuments of contemporary official script in China calligraphy circle, which will be passed down for thousands of years. His calligraphy works have participated in many large-scale exhibitions at home and abroad, and have been collected by many countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as domestic museums and memorial halls.
