What is a good pen for writing Chinese characters in calligraphy, how long is the front, and what is the running script?

First, clarify a misunderstanding: the length of the front and the length of the brush are two different things. The front refers to the transparent part of the bristles. The longer that part, the longer the front. Generally speaking, the front of long-staple wool bristles is about 1cm or more, but I have hardly seen one with the front exceeding 2cm. It is estimated that even a brush with such a long front must be extremely expensive. Wolf hair, purple hair and other fronts are shorter. It doesn't mean that the longer the brush is, the longer the front is.

Write in Chinese characters, and choose short-edge wool pen or double-strand brush pen as needed, with the hair length of 3 ~ 4 cm; When writing running script, you can choose Langhao, double brush or Changfeng Yang Hao, and choose the size of the pen according to the size of the words; You can choose "Seven Purple Three Sheep", "Five Purple Five Sheep", "Double Writing Volume" or "Meijing Bookstore" to write fine print. When writing seal script, you can choose a double-line brush, a wolf brush, or a skilled person, or you can choose Yang Hao. I remember that there is a "seal script screen pen" in Hu Bi.

The size of the pen depends on the size of the word, but it is better to write small characters with big strokes than with small strokes.
