He was influenced by the art of calligraphy since childhood, starting from Jiucheng Palace in Ou Yangxun, taking strict statutes and vigorous brushwork, taking his quiet and rich posture and seeking danger in silence as the foundation of his creation. In essence, calligraphy is also the carrier of "expressing its sadness and joy". Abstract lines and soft strokes are endless stories of calligraphers' amorous feelings. Jia grew up in Zhaozhou, an ancient town with profound cultural heritage. The culture of the Northern Wei Dynasty, which lasted for hundreds of years, is undoubtedly one of the important contents of Zhao Yan's style. Together with Weibei and the epitaph, which are still "living" in Zhao Yan, they are integrated with the author's life and emotion as the first element of calligraphers. While pursuing the elegance of the south, he has the spirit of integrating into the northern monument, and regards the charm of Jin people and the spirit of Weibei as the solid cornerstone of the spiritual home built by the author with lines. Therefore, when he had a deep accumulation in Nanyou and Beiyou, he naturally embarked on the creative road of combining inscriptions with calligraphy. From the perspective of historical coordinates, the spread of posts is mainly for the appreciation of calligraphy and the cultivation of body and mind with its beauty; The spread of historical sites is mainly to remember people. However, the long river of time has given it new aesthetic value. Especially under the influence of the trend of democratic revolution in Qing Dynasty, the aesthetic research and development of steles is of great significance to the times. It is this wave of worshipping monuments that has created calligraphers such as Deng and Yu Youren. Jia's calligraphy is mainly based on steles, which adds interest to the posts. Inheriting the tradition, adapting to the times, after nearly 20 years' efforts and six dynasties, its shape is from Jiucheng Palace, its softness is from carving monuments, and it has just been from Zhang Menglong Monument. He took Lanting, Caojue and Park Shu-yi as examples, and learned from others and merged them into one furnace. After years of tempering, he developed his own unique style of calligraphy.
