The first "Mao" was one of the famous heavy objects in the bronze wares of the Western Zhou Dynasty, which was in the Wang Xuan period in the late Western Zhou Dynasty. It is 53.8 cm high and weighs 34.7 kg. The last year of Daoguang (1850) was unearthed in Joo Won?, Qishan County, Shaanxi Province, and is now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei. Named after the author Mao Gong, there are as many as 32 lines and 498 words on the inner wall, which is the longest bronze inscription in existence.
The inscription reads as follows:
Wang Ruo said: "My father is sincere, and I am proud of my civil and military skills. God is tired of my virtue. I should have a week. I have a big order now. I will die if I am impolite. Only heaven will take your life, and only the first one is just and just. This is a great life, the emperor will die, and I will be protected for a week. The first king of Pi Gong will be appointed, and he is afraid of heaven and disease. Traces are everywhere, big and quiet. Oh! I am afraid to be a boy and always be a king. " Wang Yue: Father Xin? , to the king's life first, life you? My country, inside and outside my home, in small major politics, I am standing. Make a promise, if not. The Western Zhou Dynasty 1 Mao stamp (actually called the Western Zhou Dynasty Mao Inscription Stamp) is the first stamp to see its artwork four times before its release. It is the first stamp that does not show itself according to the published works of art; It is also the first stamp that was not corrected when it was officially issued because of a text error in the stamp draft. The first time I saw Mao of the Western Zhou Dynasty was on the 2003 stamp artwork published by the State Post Bureau (the 11th issue of Stamp Collecting in 2002), and the ticket was entitled "One or two seal scripts, an ancient masterpiece of China's calligraphy" (Figure 1). It is said that this is the second draft of the design. This manuscript selects the last word in the second line of the inscription, the word 14 in the third line and the word 15 in the fourth line. After technical treatment, the layout removed the previous column in Figure 1 and changed to four columns. The black characters on the light background were changed to white characters on the gray background, and the inscription and face value were moved to the right outside the pattern. The overall design of the ticket face is better than the second draft (Figure L), and finally we can see some charm of the original. However, this form of calligraphy paste lacks the vividness, naturalness and massiness of the original inscription. It is worth pointing out that the first word in this manuscript is "Yin", the corresponding word in the original rubbings (Figure 5), and the inscription of Mao (Bashu Bookstore, 1.988 edition) in the inscriptions on inscriptions on bronze inscriptions are all "chewing". What is rare is that this kind of mistake will still appear after the experts examine and approve the three drafts.
