Basic information of Benxun Zhang
Benxun Zhang, born in Henan, was born in June in Henan, with the age of 1926. Member of China Calligraphers Association, a famous calligrapher in Henan. He was born in a scholarly family with a deep family background. Influenced by the surrounding environment, he likes calligraphy since childhood and has amazing imitation ability. Benxun Zhang studied under the local famous Mr. Gao Lihong and Mr. Li Zipei. He visited various post stations, especially benefited from the cliff statues and stone carvings in Longmen, Luoyang, and was fascinated by these specific monuments, cliffs and epitaphs left by the Northern Wei Dynasty. He likes Shi, Zhang Menglong and other inscriptions, especially Zhang Menglong's, which has benefited him a lot and has far-reaching influence.
From Mr. Benxun Zhang's rigid and flexible brushwork, we can realize that the brushwork with the pen, the astringency and straightness of the horizontal pen, the roundness of the pen, the lightness of the hook and the variety of the point method all come from his understanding of the essence of the cliff dominated by the round pen in Zheng Wengong Monument.
The word comes from Zhang Menglong. Among these glyphs, they are tall and straight, generous, vigorous and simple, and rigorous in structure. Use a pen to explore new ideas in the fonts between Li Kai.
Mr Benxun Zhang formed his own calligraphy style and school in 1970s and 1980s. His calligraphy is deeply loved by Kaifeng people. He wrote a plaque with a stroke of a pen and rarely repeated it. Because of his hobby of Beijing Opera, his poetic rhyme can be borrowed from Beijing Opera. Its pen is mainly centered. He thinks that writing a book should not be fast and slow, so Benxun Zhang's calligraphy presents a mellow, vigorous, quiet and changeable style.
As early as 1978, Mr. Benxun Zhang won the prize in the national calligraphy competition. Although he seldom participated in various activities of the Calligraphy Association, his books were widely loved and collected by academic celebrities, calligraphy lovers and ordinary people, and truly achieved the goal of "calligraphy for the people". If you were in Kaifeng in the Seven Dynasties, the couplets written by Mr. Benxun Zhang, ranging from pure gold plaques such as Long Ting Tower and Yuwangtai Park in Kaifeng, to classic calligraphy such as Jiaobei and Huaihai Campaign Chenguanzhuang Monument, and to the signboards of government hotels, all became a beautiful city card in Kaifeng.
Essentials of calligraphy pen
The way of writing, how to make various strokes when writing, and different writing styles are varied, as well as the way of writing, the order of writing, the connection and disconnection between strokes or words, the way of turning, the use of nib, etc. , all need to pay attention. But although there are many, there are still some statutes to be found. The following is divided into seven points, which are roughly classified and described:
Start and close the pen
Fiona Fang should be clear, perfect and clean about writing. Bao said: when writing, there is no peak for those who follow, and no ink for those who oppose. No peak, perfect shape, no ink swelling, clean strokes, starting from the pen, turning into a circle. When closing the pen, it is necessary to pause or fold the pen to form a square and return to the front to form a circle. The above points are the first principles, so we should practice more.
Pick up a pen and pause.
When you are writing, the process of completing a word is formed by the interaction of starting and stopping. Stop is to press the pen, bend the pen and make the force on the paper. To lift is to lift or half lift the pen to continue writing. Generally speaking, you need to pick up a pen to write, and then you need to pick up a pen to shape a stroke or connect the next stroke. Finally shape the word. This is why calligraphy writing is an alternating process of raising and raising. Among them, there are more subtle changes, for example, there are points that are all mentioned and half mentioned, and there are also points that are light and heavy. This requires readers to experience it themselves.
Rotating pen and folding pen
Besides the above, we also need to pay attention to the transfer of the pen and the pause of the pen. Turn is the method of drawing a circle, and fold is the method of drawing a square. Zhang Tingxiang once said: Real books are shaped by stippling, and naturally they are seen by turning. Among them, subdividing what you see in ancient books can also be called flipping. The method of performance is to drag it to the top, which means that the pen stops moving in the pen, changes the direction of the nib and turns it slightly, becoming a ㄟ-shaped flip. Make the outer corner square and get its brushwork. As for the turning method, it is also called twisting, which means the same as the above, except that it doesn't stop when turning the front, but turns downwards with the same shape, except that the outer corner is drawn into a circle and the rotation range is greater. Jiang Menglin once gave an example vividly, and attached a poem cloud: suddenly turned into a right angle, twisted and rolled like a spinning thread.
