How to evaluate China's running script?

First of all, in terms of calligraphy, Mr. Ren Zheng and Mr. Qi Gong belong to everyone's level, and there is no doubt about their calligraphy level (Shu Tong is not commented here), but why are the translated fonts always suspected? In addition to being overused and abused, the important reason is that the aesthetic orientation of calligraphy fonts and printed fonts is different. This is not to say that calligraphy fonts cannot be used as printing fonts, but it takes a lot of effort to make words, especially when writing manuscripts. It can be said that the balance of words, the correctness of words, the unity of size and gray scale required by printing are all contrary to calligraphy. For example, Tian Yingzhang's regular script is a national treasure when everyone knows nothing about calligraphy in modern times, but the Japanese version of Tian Kai (the European regular script of Shengze) still disappoints some people. Therefore, the quality of a set of calligraphy fonts is not determined by the writer's calligraphy level. This is the result of a trade-off between "calligraphy" and "craftsmanship", but in the end it is not pleasing to both sides.
