Li Haifeng's Calligraphy in Late Qing Dynasty

His name is Ying and he was born in 1878. He was born in an orphan family in the south of Suizhong. His grandfather studied since childhood and tried many times. His father, Luo Dong, went into business first and then into agriculture.

Haifeng entered his home school at the age of 7 and likes calligraphy. His beautiful handwriting, neat structure and great strength are beyond the reach of his classmates. Grandpa appreciates Haifeng's words. In order to make grandson a useful person, he teaches and supervises by himself every morning and evening. Haifeng often writes late at night. When his wrist was tired, his grandfather ordered him to put his wrist in cold water and continue copying after his wrist strength recovered. I often copy Jiucheng Palace (European style), Mysterious Pagoda (Yan style) and Zhao Beituo. He often hangs famous cards on the wall, reads and writes, and his calligraphy has made rapid progress. /kloc-people aged 0/2 can write a sector. 1893, Haifeng went to Jinzhou to take an examination of boys. The examiner appreciated his good handwriting and regarded it as a scholar. When he met the teacher, the examiner told him that he was admitted to the undergraduate course because of his plain writing and heavy words. Be sure to study hard on the article when you go home. After returning to China, Haifeng practiced writing hard, but still practiced calligraphy diligently. 1897, Haifeng was elected to the Ministry of Tribute and was awarded the Wei County Order of Guangping Prefecture in Zhili. During his tenure, Haifeng took a few years to practice calligraphy, and calligraphy made great progress. 19 12 retired to the village. Bi Wei, the deacon of Taihe Shanfang in Suizhong County, hired Haifeng to write posts for Yin Shi Bureau, and bookstores in various counties rushed to buy them. Babi made a fortune from this, but Haifeng didn't benefit from it. After the investment was completed, Haifeng politely refused with his profiteering style.

In the early years of the Republic of China, the Li family was in ruins. Li Haifeng went to Fengtian to visit Xu Shukai, a secondary normal teacher from Suizhong, and asked for a recommendation. Xu recommended to the principal that Haifeng's calligraphy was extraordinary, and the school specially added calligraphy classes to make him a calligraphy teacher. After Haifeng arrived, people from all walks of life searched for more and more books. He once wrote a birthday preface for General Zhang Xiluan, and everyone he saw praised him, which made him famous. Soon, Haifeng was dismissed because of some things, and without a life, he rented a house to sell words.

10 or so, Li Haifeng died in Mukden. After Li Haifeng's death, his copybook was carved by Taihe Mountain House in Suizhong, and most schools in western Liaoning took it as a model for students to copy.
