History of Wuyi Road Primary School

In the thirty-third year of Guangxu (1907), Mr. Meng Buyun, a juren from Qixian County, Shanxi Province, founded a girls' accelerated normal school and a girls' primary school, covering an area of 30 mu, which was later named the private Guanghua girls' middle school, the predecessor of Wuyi Road Primary School. As the principal, Mr. Meng advocated "women's education", let his daughter sign up for school first, and let his wife Guo volunteer to teach, which set a precedent for women to give lectures on stage. Mr Meng is proficient in astronomy, calendar, medicine and calligraphy. For more than 30 years, Mr. Meng has gone through hardships and devoted himself to education. In order to revitalize the nation and promote women's liberation, he decided to become a forerunner of the famous women's liberation movement in the early 20th century, a patriotic, diligent and innovative educator.

Meng, the daughter of Mr. Meng Buyun, 16 years old, studied in Japan with her husband and studied at Japan Women's Education Institute. 193 1 year, Ms. Meng returned to China and followed her stepfather's footsteps as the principal.

1932 was renamed Taiyuan Girls' Middle School with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the National Government, and Ms. Meng was the first principal. In the stormy and difficult days of the country, Ms. Meng has made great efforts, perseverance and diligence in running schools and achieved remarkable results. 1949 Ms. Meng went to Hongkong with her husband and then to Taiwan Province Province. After liberation, full of patriotic enthusiasm, Ms. Meng resolutely returned to the mainland with her children alone, continued to engage in education, and trained many outstanding women.

When War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression started, the school was closed. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Yan Xishan moved back to Taiyuan in Conan Primary School in western Shanxi.

Kenan Primary School East School was established here.

1949 After the liberation of Taiyuan on April 24th, the people's government took over the school and renamed it Xinkailu Primary School. First of all, the school has established and improved the organization and management systems of party groups, trade unions and NLD in primary schools in the city.

1950 changed its name to Taiyuan No.2 Complete Primary School.

1955, the school was renamed as Xinkai Road Primary School.

1956, the school was named after the street and renamed Wuyi Road Primary School in north city, Taiyuan.

1960 school has been designated as one of the eight key schools in North China by the Ministry of Education, making Wuyi Road Primary School leap into the ranks of national famous schools. President Ren and teacher Fu Yinghe attended this unprecedented national cultural and educational event.

1966- 1976, ten years of catastrophe, more than 40% of the school's cadres and teachers were impacted and persecuted, but the majority of teachers always insisted on attending classes.

1973, the school attached 18 junior high school classes with caps, which expanded to 45 classes and implemented two-part classes.

After 1976, Shi Fuzheng and Fu Ying first served as party branch secretaries and principals, and the school began to fully restore the fine traditions and good school spirit formed since liberation.

From 65438 to 0978, after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the focus of school work gradually shifted to the teaching-oriented track. President Fu Ying, a national advanced education worker and the first batch of special-grade teachers in the province, was gloriously elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress.

I attended the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

1984 during the summer vacation, the newly formed school leadership team implemented the principal responsibility system.

In August, 2005, Wuyi Road Primary School was substantially merged with the original Banpo Street Primary School, which was the west campus of Wuyi Road Primary School, according to the spirit of Notice of Xinghualing District People's Government Office forwarded by District Education Bureau on the implementation plan of educational resources integration in Xinghualing District of Taiyuan City. The headquarters of Wuyi Road Primary School is six tracks, and the west campus of Wuyi Road Primary School is three tracks. The school now covers an area of about 10000 square meters, with 50 classes, 2850 students and 65438 teachers.
