Calligraphy and painting collected by Guo Yunlou

Weng Lianxi, deputy research librarian of the Palace Museum Library, said that it is recognized that Yunlou is famous for its collection of paintings and calligraphy, but little is known about its collection. It was not until 1930s that Mr. Fu Zengxiang went to Yunlou to read a book that he learned something about its books. Among them, there are many rare books of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties and manuscripts, manuscripts and school-based books of celebrities. Tuoxiaotang revealed that there is actually a very secret room in Yunlou. The family's books are kept in the secret room. Their paintings can be seen and appreciated by friends, but the books are confidential. This is a historical habit.

Weng Lianxi said that in the past, it was always believed that the Song version of Splendid Flower Valley and the Splendid Flower Valley collected by Jingjiatang in Japan were the same version. This time, I found that the font of this book is different from that of Jingjiatang in Japan, and there is no record. That is an orphan in the Song Dynasty.

In 195 1 and 1959, Gu's descendants passed through Yunlou and donated more than 300 fine paintings and calligraphy to Shanghai Museum twice. 150 years later, the calligraphy and painting treasures in the collection have a final destination. However, in the following decades, about three-quarters of the rare ancient books collected by Yunlou from generation to generation were transferred to Nanjing Library, and the remaining 170 books were left among the people and gradually forgotten by the world. Recently, these books were collected and auctioned by Guardian Company.
