"General Helping Shun" —— Huang Daozhou
Huang Daozhou (1585-1646), born in Tongshan Institute, Zhangpu County (now Tongling Town, Dongshan County), was a famous scholar, painter and patriotic national hero in the late Ming Dynasty. The world is known as "Huang Shengren" and "Mr. Shi Zhai". Ming Wanli 13th year (1585) was born in Tongshan Institute, Zhangpu County, namely Tongling Town, Dongshan County.
Huang Daozhou was intelligent and studious since childhood, and he was known as a "gifted scholar in Fujian" when he was a teenager. At the age of twenty-five, he built Zhangpu Donggao Bookstore and engaged in lectures. Thirty-eight-year-old Zhongshi was appointed as the editor and editor of Hanlin in the Qi Dynasty tomorrow, the official of the banquet exhibition, the assistant minister of the official department and the official of the Ministry of War in Hong Guang in Nanming Dynasty, and the university student, official department and minister of war in Wuyingdian in Longwu Dynasty. He entered the political arena in the late Ming Dynasty when class contradictions and ethnic contradictions were very sharp and fierce. Emperor Chongzhen's treachery in Japan and China killed Yuan Chonghuan, a famous anti-Japanese war star, and severely punished Qian Longxi, an assistant minister. No one in the DPRK dares to speak right and wrong. Huang Daozhou excited by indignation, liantuo three hydrophobic. The headstrong Chongzhen was furious at the sight of sparse, so he was demoted to three levels. Daozhou attached great importance to state affairs, regardless of personal gains and losses, was upright and outspoken, and dared to speak out, until he was dismissed from his official position and even sentenced to prison, showing his feelings of serving the country and the people and being aboveboard. In his later years, when he was in danger, he invited himself to recruit soldiers to fight against the Qing Dynasty in the north. Huang Daozhou, the leader of the Qing army, thought it was better than occupying several states' land. Huang Daozhou has given lectures in Zhejiang Dadi College, Zhangpu Mingchengtang College, Zhangzhou Ziyang College and Longxi Yeye College, and has trained a large number of learned and virtuous talents. He is diligent in writing and studying Confucianism, and has written dozens of books. Later generations compiled The Complete Works of Mr. Huang Zhangpu. He is good at calligraphy and painting, and his calligraphy is self-contained and has great influence. Cai Shiyuan, a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty, summed up his life: his rigorous spirit and profound knowledge are comparable to Shao Yong's, his loyalty to his country is comparable to Li Gang's, and his generosity is comparable to Wen Tianxiang's. After Huang Daozhou's death, Yi people set up a memorial tablet in their former residence in Shenjing Village, Tongshan, and set up a museum in Mingcheng Hall where they taught. According to legend, ten years after his death, someone saw an old man with a yellow shirt and bamboo shoes swimming among the nymphs in Wuyishan forest, just like the Yellow Sage. So I built a temple to worship it and enjoyed reading incense. People regard Huang Daozhou as a god, honoring him as "the general who helped Shun" to avoid the jealousy of the Qing court. During the Qianlong period, there were immigrants named Huang who offered incense to people and built a small temple at the end of the bamboo alley. Kangding Road in Taipei also helps to shun the General Temple, which is dedicated to Huang Shengren.
