In the first year of Zhenguan (627), Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty wrote an admonishment to stop hunting, riding and shooting, which was adopted. In the fifth year of Zhenguan, he was dismissed from the official position, and soon he was appointed again. In the fourteenth year of Zhenguan (641), he paid homage to Dali Qing and became an important minister of the imperial court. Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty resigned from office due to old age in the fifth year of Yonghui's fifth year (654), and died of illness at home in the third year of Xianqing's third year (658).
