Cathaysian Block: Most early researchers thought that Shaoxing-Jiangshan line was a deep fault zone, and some scholars thought it was a subduction zone of Caledonian plate at the end of 1990' s, but according to recent work, it was found that it was a connecting zone between Jiangnan ancient land and Cathaysian ancient land in the early Jinning period.

Dexing-Huangshan fault zone is a deep fault zone with NNE strike, which is distributed at the junction of Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.
Zhu Xun called it "the deep fault zone in northeast Jiangxi" and pointed out that it is the boundary fault between Tailong in the south of the Yangtze River and Qiantang Depression. Yu Dayou and others called the northeast Jiangxi, Xiaoshan-Qiuchuan and Jiangshan-Shaoxing fault zones "mixed zones", which were the collision and docking zones between the Yangtze plate and the Cathaysian plate at the end of Mesoproterozoic.
