Luo Hongxian was born in an official family, and he was valued very much since he was a child, not for fun. He has been determined to be a scholar since he was a child. In the fifth year of Jiajing (1526), Luo Hongxian took the provincial examination, and in the eighth year of Jiajing (1529), he took the ugly exam and won the first place in palace examination. At that time, Ming Shizong was superstitious about Taoism, seeking longevity and extremely corrupt in politics. Luo Hongxian can't see through the corruption in the imperial court, please report it. In the eighteenth year of Jiajing (1539), he entered the DPRK as an official, and was dismissed because he wrote a joint letter "Greetings to the East Palace" to offend Emperor Sejong. From then on, Luo Hongxian left the officialdom and began the life of a scholar.
After returning to his hometown to farm, he lived in seclusion in the mountains, studied Wang Yangming's mind more intently, stayed indoors, and sat quietly on the couch for three years. He is willing to be indifferent, practicing 39 in winter and 3 in summer, riding horses, practicing bows, reading pictures and watching history, from astronomy, music, laws and regulations, yin and yang, martial arts to geography, water conservancy, border defense, war and offensive and defensive.
Huixian Bridge's anecdote
Huixian Bridge is located on the west side of the well platform, covering an area of about 200 square meters. It's an open-air theater in the ancient Jinci Temple. The ancients did not sit in rows of orderly theaters, but stood in the open air. Wherever you can see the stage performance, railings, bridges and various buildings are crowded with the audience. The second building on the central axis is a bridge, which spans the Zhibo Canal in the upper reaches of Jinshui River.
It is said that Luo Hongxian, the first scholar of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, was an official (and married the traitor Yan Song). On the fourteenth day of the fourth lunar month, visit Jinci Temple on the bridge. When he met a woman, Luo Hongxian couldn't help but sigh: "Everyone says that beauty is in the west, but I think this woman is better than beauty." The woman was ashamed and angry, but it made Banqiao suddenly angry. Luo Hongxian almost fell into the ditch, and then looked at the woman, but she had already disappeared. From a distance, he suddenly appeared on Diaoweng Mountain. Luo said to himself, "If you are really a fairy, let me take a closer look at you." Before I finished, I saw the hanging Mount Weng crumbling and moving several steps eastward. Luo Dawei was frightened, but he knew it was serious. He wrote a poem by hand:
Hanging on Mount Weng, the dragon and tiger are hidden, and the water floats and fires rob the mountain. For 50 years, both the emperor and mother have come.
This poem tablet is still preserved in front of the hall of Notre Dame. This poem has nothing to do with legend, but later generations don't understand its meaning. In fact, the author is alluding to the founding age of Notre Dame Hall. The folk are fascinated by the legend of Luo Hongxian: "The pen of melon skin is not dry yet, not in Yunnan but in Sichuan."
Mystery of hanging pen tablet
In the corridor on the right side of the hall of Notre Dame de Jinci in Taiyuan, there is a very famous monument-"Hanging Pen Monument". The monument is1.46m high and 0.72m wide. There are three lines of cursive script on it, such as falling flowers and snow, showers and wind:
Hanging Wengshan has a clear pulse,
It's really clear that dragons and tigers are lurking and hiding.
Shui Piao robbed the mountains with fire,
For 50 years, the emperor and his mother came.
Followed by the inscription "Hong Xian hung his pen in the year of Wuwu" and the words "Mole on the Stone in Gao Huan Courtyard of Wancheng". For hundreds of years, it has attracted many poets and lingered for it, and many tourists were disappointed because they failed to get an inscription rubbings.
Why does this monument have such great charm?
As far as calligraphy is concerned, this tablet can really stand the praise in the inscription of Jinci: "The body sound is melodious, like a shower falling flowers and snow, and it is unstoppable." Between the lines reveals a kind of unconstrained style, Wan Li weather, a detached, unrestrained charm.
On the author, Luo Hongxian, a famous scholar in Ming Dynasty, is also a famous figure. Luo Hongxian lived in the era when Yan Song was in power, and he studied knowledge with an attitude of preserving his sanity. He worshipped Wang Shouren since he was a child. The Scholars of the Ming Dynasty said that when 15 years old, he read Wang Shouren's Biography and "wanted to find a job", but his father prevented him from doing so. After he was dismissed from office, he devoted himself to research and put forward many new ideas on the basis of inheriting Wang Shouren's theory of "to conscience". After ten years' efforts, I made every effort to supplement the Map written by Zhu Siben in Yuan Dynasty, and incorporated it into the book Guang Yu Tu. Because of his profound Taoism, most of him did some strange things and was regarded as a "Taoist fairy" by the people. Therefore, his words are "immortal" and welcome. This is also an important reason why this monument is attractive.
However, no one can tell what this poem on the stone tablet really means. What are the words "water floating and fire robbing mountains" saying? How did this legendary figure write this mysterious poem? For hundreds of years, people have different opinions, but no one can solve this mystery.
Perhaps this is the source of the real charm of this hanging pen tablet.
Spread stories
There is a very popular story: Luo Hongshen traveled all over the world and came to the Jinci Temple in Huixian Bridge, where he saw a beautiful * * * on the other side. He said unconsciously, "Everyone says beauty is good, but I think this woman is better than beauty." I didn't know this woman was made by a fairy, so I was angry with her frivolous remarks and set fire to the wooden bridge as a warning. But Luo Hongxian was stubborn and made a detour to the foot of the mountain. The fairy got angry and moved the mountain forward a few steps. Luo Hongxian realized that the immortal had come to enlighten him. So I converted to Xiandao, and finally made a positive result. Later, Taoism was honored as "Luo Zhenren". In addition, this poem is written in melon skin. On the wall of Notre Dame Hall, there is a folk song "Luo Hongxian's melon skin is not dry, so he must go to Sichuan before he reaches Huguang".
The story is beautiful and touching, which seems to coincide with the words of "fire robbing mountains and moving away" in the poem. Looking back hundreds of years, it can be regarded as a perfect explanation. However, what modern people need is real science, not beauty and illusion. So, what is this poem saying?
The key sentence is that "water flies with fire to rob mountains." Luo Hongxian wrote poetry in the Wuwu year, that is, the thirty-seventh year of Jiajing (1558). According to the Records of Taiyuan County, eight years later, "Jinci Mountain moved in the forty-fifth year of Ming Jiajing, and the towers were on fire." So the local people thought that Luo Hongxian knew what had happened before, and "he should have made a poem", which was really "moving mountains to rob the fire" and was amazed.
In fact, the mountains around Jinci have moved many times in history: in the fourth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1577), in the forty-second year of Kangxi (1704), and so on, especially in June of Zheng Deyuan in Ming Dynasty (1506). The so-called "moving mountains" means that the ancients did not understand the crustal movement of the earth, and may regard rock caving caused by earthquakes and natural weathering as "moving mountains". Xianju Temple Mountain is located in Sanli, south of Jinci Temple, and is connected with a vein of Xingweng Mountain. Coincidentally, the year of the Mountain Movement was exactly 52 years apart from the "Wuwu Year" (1558) when Luo Hongxian visited Jinci, which coincided with the empty meaning of "50" in the latter sentence "The Empress has been here for 50 years".
This is not just a coincidence-we know that Luo Hongshen is a professional geographer from a few strokes in The Scholars of the Ming Dynasty. He gave up his official position and traveled around the world. On the one hand, he is detached from officialdom. On the other hand, it is more important that "what he gets on paper is superficial, and he will never know how to do it." As a geographer, he just had the opportunity to collect first-hand information and enrich the scientific basis of his works. Fifty years ago, the witness was still alive, and he could not have heard or felt anything.
Facing the landscape cultural relics of Jinci Temple, Luo Hongxian remembered its thousand-year vicissitudes: the three ethnic groups divided into Jin, and the water poured into the waves; The Tang Dynasty was shocked and burned Jinyang; There is also the great change of "moving mountains" fifty years ago. As a scientist, he can't explain such a strange phenomenon, just as Newton can't explain the source of the force of the first movement of celestial bodies more than one hundred years later. Newton turned to his "God" and demonstrated the existence of "God" with "science". Luo Hongxian also confidently concluded that "the emperor and his mother have been here for fifty years", and only divine power can do this, and he can't help feeling a lot. This place is really: "Dragon, tiger, hidden dragon, hidden"!
Luo Hongxian asked me where my home was. The mountains are deep and there are many white clouds. The spring in front of the rock slipped down and I didn't hear each other's voice. -Mindeiro Hongxian's Miscellaneous Poems in the Mountains
