Han Zhimo, 1944, a native of Pingding County, Shanxi Province, is a famous oil painter, a professor of Shanxi University, a master tutor, and the former dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanxi University. He is currently a member of China Artists Association, vice chairman of Shanxi Artists Association, president of Shanxi Oil Painting Association, vice chairman of Shanxi Fine Arts Research Association, and member of Shanxi Calligraphers Association. He is also a part-time professor and visiting professor at Jinzhong University, Lvliang College, Xinzhou College and Changzhi College.

I studied in Yangquan primary school and middle school as a teenager. In 1960s, he was admitted to the Fine Arts Department of Shanxi University with a bachelor's degree. After graduation, he worked as an artist in Xiyang County, Yuci Cultural Center and Exhibition Hall until the end of 1970s, and then worked as a worker and a clerk in the factory. In the 1980s, he was transferred back to his alma mater to teach. For many years, he served as the director of the oil painting teaching and research section and the deputy director of the fine arts department.
Achievements and honors
Over the years, Han Zhimo has been mainly engaged in oil painting teaching and creation. Besides oil painting, he has also dabbled in cartoons, posters and illustrations. His works have participated in the 6th and 9th national large-scale art exhibitions, won the excellent prize in the 9th National Art Festival, and won the first, second and third prizes and excellent prizes in the 1st National Oil Painting Exhibition, the 1st and 2nd National Oil Painting Still Life Exhibition, the National Teachers' Art Exhibition, the Singapore Contemporary China Oil Painting Exhibition, the Hong Kong and Taiwan China Art Exhibition, and the previous Shanxi Art Exhibition.
Personal work
The main representative works are oil painting No.1 Scholar, Echo of Ancient Plateau, Yungang Tower, Spring March and Sour. Among them, No.1 Scholar was rated as an excellent work, and participated in the 6th National Excellent Art Exhibition held by Li in Beijing 1985 1 month. He has created and published many cartoons, such as The Snowman's Secret, Money Slave and The First Plane. Among them, The Secret of the Snowman participated in the Shanghai exhibition area of the 6th National Art Exhibition.
200 1 Edited and published (Shanxi People's Publishing House) Collection of Fine Arts Works in Colleges and Universities and Counseling Series of Basic Fine Arts in the New Century. From 2002 to 2004, Beijing People's Fine Arts Publishing House and Shanxi People's Publishing House published personal paintings, which entered the world of oil painting and sketch respectively.
