Zhenping county Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall was built in 1984, the first phase was completed and opened19881,and the second phase was completed and opened in the summer of 2004, with a new look. When it was first built, the museum occupied an area of 13073 square meters, and the main building area was 235 1 square meter. Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall, which was built in 2004, covers an area of 24,600 square meters, with a main building area of 39 16 square meters.
The museum is located in the northeast corner of zhenping county, Nanyang City, Henan Province. There is Xuefeng Square in front of the memorial hall and the main building behind it. * * * consists of eight parts: square, stele pavilion, stele gallery, green space, viewing hall, exhibition room, cultural relics warehouse and office area.
On the boulder on the right side of the gate, the museum name "Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall" inscribed by former president Comrade Yang is engraved. In the center of the square stands a bronze statue of the general, which is 3.2 meters high and weighs 1.5 tons. There are birds and flowers in Zhou Songbai and pavilions on both sides (on the left is "General Peng Xuefeng"; On the right is the "Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall" and the stele gallery (each with 39 inscriptions, on the left is the elegiac couplet and inscription written by the party and state leaders, and on the right is the inscription written by the famous national calligrapher for General Peng Xuefeng).
Behind the bronze statue is the main building with a north-south frame structure, with an octagonal viewing hall in front and an exhibition room in the back. The plane is in the shape of "Hui", which combines modern characteristics and national style.
On both sides of the hall door is an elegiac couplet inscribed by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1945 in memory of General Peng Xuefeng: "For the nation and the masses, we have struggled for twenty years and made contributions to the motherland; Anti-Japanese, anti-traitors, freedom and equality for millions of compatriots, and it has been a long time. " The hall is spacious and bright, with a 3.4-meter-high white marble statue in Peng Xuefeng in the center, wearing a gown and smiling. Behind the statue is a magnificent theme background painting, and on both sides are elegies inscribed by proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation, such as Zhu De, Peng and Chen Yi: "Twenty years of hard struggle will soon be completely completed, and we are the * * * producers' party. Thousands of miles of rivers and mountains are waiting to be cleaned up from scratch. Unexpectedly, blood splashed, sacrificed for the country, full of grief and indignation, a hero of the Chinese nation. "
There are five exhibition rooms and a lecture hall in the main building. There are three exhibition rooms on the first floor, and the exhibition route is 268 meters long. * * * exhibits more than 650 pictures and more than 50 objects, showing the general's life in 14 parts.
Zhenping Pengxuefeng Memorial Hall
Since its opening, the museum has been awarded the titles of "Henan National Defense Education Base", "Henan Youth Ideological Education Base" and "Primary and Secondary School Moral Education Base" by Henan Provincial Party Committee, provincial government, Henan Communist Youth League Committee, Henan Provincial Propaganda Department and Henan Provincial Education Commission. It is one of the top ten excellent patriotic education bases in Henan Province. In 2005, it was named "National Patriotism Education Demonstration Base" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC and awarded by the Second Artillery Corps.
