The name Zhao Hu will be unfamiliar to many people, but he was a famous Confucian, hermit and calligrapher in the Three Kingdoms period. Like Zhuge Liang, his handwriting is "Kongming".
Zhao Hu is 20 years older than Zhu Geliang. He has been an official all his life. Although he has lived in seclusion in the mountains for a long time, his reputation is well known to women and children. He was not only deeply loved by the people, but also revered by the court and the rebels, calling him a "saint". He never forgot to take care of the hermit during the war and agreed not to attack his residence. To put it bluntly, Zhao Hu simply exists as a god.
So, how did Zhao Hu Hede get such special treatment?
Zhao Hu was born in Yingchuan, which is today's Yuzhou, Henan. He studied the history of classics since he was a child, and he was knowledgeable at a young age, familiar with ancient and modern times. At that time, imperial concubines and eunuchs were in power and the society was corrupt and sinister. Zhao Hu hates his official career, so he wants to live a quiet life in Jizhou and concentrate on studying classics and calligraphy. Facts have proved that famous Confucianism is destined to be remembered, and it is remembered by several ronins.
At that time, it coincided with the rise of troubled times, and various governors were eager to expand their power. A famous Confucian scholar with unparalleled talent and great strategy like Zhao Hu is the object they are eager to win. Among them, the most famous is Yuan Shao, who is "a family of four generations and three fairs, and his disciples are all over the world", and Cao Cao, who has the title of "being a minister and ruling the world and being a hero in troubled times".
Let's talk about Yuan Shao first. In the first year of Xianping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 190), Yuan Shao began to call on Zhao Hu to come out of the mountain. At first, he was full of confidence and patience. He went to the cottage with Liu Bei and invited Zhuge. However, this is not the case. Zhao Hu "resolutely resigned" to Yuan Shaozhi's invitation. After several times, Yuan Shao was very angry and decided to simply tie Zhao Hu out. Unexpectedly, Zhao Hu was so unpredictable that he packed some luggage and hid it in the mountains. When Yuan Shaopa sent someone to kidnap him, he naturally closed his eyes.
Besides, Cao Cao, in the first year of Jian 'an (A.D. 196), welcomed Xian Di to move to Xuchang, and promulgated the "decree on appointing people on their merits", which attracted a large number of people with lofty ideals to take refuge. Cao Cao took pains to invite Zhao Hu to come out of the mountain, and sent people to the mountain for many times to dig him out. This time, Zhao Hu didn't hide anything, but met Cao Cao directly, but he politely declined. He claims to be a rural migrant worker and is used to studying hard. He doesn't want to be an official. I hope the Prime Minister will forgive him and let him live in the mountains. Seeing that it was difficult to convince Cao Cao, he sighed, "Everyone has his own interests." Let him go.
Later, in order to avoid the crowd, Zhao Hu simply moved to Luhun Mountain in the northeast of Songxian County, Luoyang City, Henan Province. People who live in the mountains are people who work at sunrise and rest at sunset. Neighbors often quarrel over trifles, so they invite intellectuals to judge, and Zhao Hu gradually becomes a respected mediator. Most people here are poor, and children have few opportunities to study. Zhao Hu started a school and became a teacher. He calmed down the struggle and educated the quartet. After a long time, he became the spiritual leader of Lu Hunshan.
Lushan Mountain stretches for 300 miles, and Zhao Hu, a hermit, is well known. Many aristocratic men are willing to climb several hills and come all the way to worship school, including Sima Yi. As a teenager, Sima Yi was intelligent, knowledgeable and talented. Zhao Hu knew that he could achieve great things in the future, and he got along well with him like a teacher and a friend. Later, Sima Yi became one of Cao Cao's main counselors.
Zhao Hu, a famous Confucian, had a far-reaching influence on the development of Sima Yi and Sima family. Sima Yi studied in Zhao Hu and became the prime minister of Wei, and he was no different from Hu Wolong in wisdom. The apprentice can compete with Zhuge Liang, which shows that Zhao Hu's talent is by no means under Zhuge Liang. Moreover, Sima Yi's two sons were named "Shi", and the second "Zhao" was also intriguing. Sima Yi's calligraphy is very good, which should be instructed by Zhao Hu, because the later Jin Dynasty highly praised the calligraphy of Zhao Hu and Zhong You.
Under the rule of King Cao Fang of Wei Qi, the world was a little peaceful, and Zhao Hu moved to Yiyang. Emperor Wei often summoned Zhao Hu to be an official, but he was politely declined. In the second year of Jiaping, Cao Fang, the Wei Emperor, invited Zhao Hu to the DPRK again, only to forget about it when he learned that Zhao Hu had just died of illness. The year is 250 AD. Zhao Hu died after Zhuge Liang 16 years, at the age of 89.
Zhao Hu was born earlier than Zhuge Liang and died later than Zhuge Liang. Although he has a low profile, he has made great contributions in all aspects. He devoted himself to running schools and teaching the countryside, and he was indifferent to fame and fortune all his life. He is a famous Confucian who has no desire for the secular world.
