Chen Yi’s life history

Graduated from the Northeast Meteorological School in 1954 and was assigned to work at the Aba Meteorological Observatory. After being mistakenly classified as a rightist, he left the weather station and had to work as a temporary worker on the street to support his family. From then on, he taught himself calligraphy. After reforming as a rightist, he worked as a calligrapher at the Aba Art Museum. In 1983, he was recommended as a member of the Standing Committee of the State Political Consultative Conference and appointed editor of the Cultural and Historical Committee of the State Political Consultative Conference. He retired in 1987.
