He lied about Gong Jing's life and led many people to kill Zhao Shuo, Zhao Tong, Zhao Kuo and their families. Zhao Shuo's wife Zhuang Ji (Gong Jing's sister) became pregnant and fled to the palace to escape, giving birth to her son Wu Zhao. Cheng Ying discussed with Zhao Shuo's retainer Gongsun Chujiu to protect Wu Zhao and bring him up. Gongsun Zan and his newborn son were killed and assumed the responsibility of raising Zhao's orphans. The second couplet said that Jin people were knowledgeable and eloquent in the Spring and Autumn Period, and gathered disciples to give lectures and write books, which was very famous among the governors.
