Cultural examination and professional test
1. Cultural examination
Candidates must take the 2014 National Ordinary Unified examination for cultural courses for college admissions.
2. Professional test
(1) Registration: Candidates must log in to the enrollment information column of Baoding University website from January 1 to January 31, 2014 (2014 Baoding University Calligraphy Professional school examination registration system) for online registration.
(2) Download Admission Ticket: Candidates will log in to the Baoding College website to download the "Professional Test Admission Ticket" starting from March 3, 2014.
(3) Registration and payment: Candidates should register at Baoding College with the "Registration Ticket" and "Professional Test Admission Ticket" the day before the exam and pay the professional test fee of 100 yuan. Candidates who fail to register and pay after the due date will be deemed as Automatically give up the professional test.
(4) Professional test: Candidates in Hebei Province will take the professional test at Baoding College on March 9, 2014 with their "Application Certificate", "ID Card" and "Professional Test Admission Ticket".

Total score: 100 points; test time: 1 hour; content: choose from several poems provided by the organizer (generally no more than 30 words each) Two pieces, each create a calligraphy work. One is required to be in regular script (including Wei stele), official script, and seal script, and the other is in running script or cursive script. Paper: four-foot-three-open rice paper. (66×45cm).
★Calligraphy Common Sense
Total score: 50 points; test time: 30 minutes; bibliography: "New Calligraphy Tutorial", edited by Ouyang Zhongshi, Higher Education Press, 2008 January.
★Character Sketch
Total score: 50 points; test time: 20 minutes; content: dynamic sketch of characters; paper used: four-open gouache paper.
Note: Rice paper and copying inscriptions are prepared by the organizer. Pens, ink, inkstones, calligraphy and painting felts and other tools are prepared by the candidates themselves.
(6) Professional test results announcement time: Professional test passing standards will be announced before March 31, 2013, and paper certificates will no longer be sent. At that time, candidates can log in to the Baoding College website to check their scores
