On May 20th this year, Mo Yan, together with China philanthropists and Tencent Charity Foundation, launched the "Walking with Mo Yan" public welfare action plan to support high-quality public welfare projects, spread charity culture and mobilize like-minded enterprises, institutions and individuals to join the "Walking with Mo Yan" public welfare team.

According to Mo Yan's last wish, the "Two Bricks Charity Fund" first funded and supported two charity projects, "Walking with the Stars" and "Mo Yan's Childlike Heart", focusing on autistic children and their families, children with congenital heart disease and their families, so as to help them get out of the predicament and change their lives.
On August 8, two public welfare projects initiated by Mo Yan were officially launched for public sale. From "Walking with the Stars" and "Mo Yan United", from two bricks to countless bricks, the Great Wall of Charity in Wan Li was built. As early as 20 14, Mo Yan donated 10000000 yuan to help children with congenital heart disease in the western region. This project became an opportunity for Mo Yan to start his charity trip. 20 15, Mo Yan donated another 250,000 yuan. These two donations helped 62 children with congenital heart disease in Tibet.
On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2022, Mo Yan and his good friend Wang Zhen, president of Beijing Shutong Culture and Art Research Association, wrote many blessings and began to raise funds through auction to help children with congenital heart disease in the western region. 100' s blessing also became the beginning of "Mo Yan's childlike innocence" project. A caring enterprise invested 5 million yuan to buy 100 blessings, all of which were used for the "Mo Yan Tong Xin" public welfare project. At present, the "Mo Yan Tong Xin" project has completed 22 batches of 3 1 1 children with congenital heart disease from difficult families.
Introduction to Walking with the Stars
The full name of "Walking with the Stars" is "Walking with the Stars-Family Rehabilitation Empowerment Plan for Autistic Children", which is the first project supported by the "Walking with Mo Yan" public welfare action plan. The project focuses on this group of "star children" (autistic children), and pays more attention to their parents and the families behind them as strong support. The project plans to provide free rehabilitation intervention skills training for 1000 families of autistic children in10 cities across the country in three years, and establish a support system to continuously empower families of autistic children.
In order to help the "Walking with the Stars" project, Mo Yan and Bi Changyu, an autistic painter, jointly created a painting and calligraphy work "Seeing from a Distance" and donated it to the "Two Bricks Charity Fund". All the proceeds from the charity sale will be used for the rehabilitation training of parents of autistic children. Mo Yan completed the "cooperation" with Bi Changyu's oil paintings with his calligraphy works. He wrote Walking with the Stars and felt it. He created and wrote a pair of couplets, "Looking at the colorful world, drawing fantastic graphics, half dreamy and half real".
Support, understanding and respect for children with autism and congenital heart disease and their families cannot be won by patients alone. It is equally important for the whole society to participate and create an inclusive social environment.
