Hanging needle seal script is a font derived from small seal script, also known as hanging needle seal script, which can be regarded as a variant of seal script. Its characteristic is that in vertical painting, the brush is drawn back and the sharp edge is like a steel needle hanging upside down. The "Zhi Zhi" written by King Wang of the Southern Dynasty described it as: "The hanging needle is a small seal script, and the characters must be drawn vertically and finely, and the fine ends are as straight as the hanging needle." The hanging needle strokes are slender, just like hanging needles. Mainly found in Wang Mang coins of the Han Dynasty and the New Dynasty, such as "Liuquan" and "Shibu".
