Wang Xun is Wang Xizhi’s nephew.

Wang Xun, whose courtesy name is Yuanlin and whose small name is Fahu, is from Linyi County, Langye County. He is the cousin of Wang Xizhi, a minister and calligrapher during the Eastern Jin Dynasty in China, the grandson of Prime Minister Wang Dao, and the son of Wang Qia, the leader of the Central Military Commission. Wang Xun was born in the Wang family of Langye. He first served as the chief secretary of the Grand Sima, and was deeply respected by Huan Wen. Because of his meritorious service in fighting against Yuan Zhen, he was granted the title of Marquis of Dongting, and was known as King Dongting in the world. Lei Qian Langye Wangyou, the commander of the Central Army Shi, and the minister of Huangmen. When Taifu Xie An was in power, he was awarded the title of Secretary Supervisor. After Xie An's death, he was promoted to Shizhong.

Wang Xun specializes in calligraphy and is especially good at calligraphy. His family has been famous for his calligraphy skills for three generations. His calligraphy is delicate and elegant, unrestrained and ancient, with broad structure and elegant mood. "Ping Tie Ji" by Yang Shoujing of the Qing Dynasty shows this true practice and he is already a famous master.
