Yi Yanhuang, pen name, Xilin middleman, is a famous contemporary calligrapher in China. He loved calligraphy since childhood and studied the works of calligraphers such as Mi Fei and Su Shi. Graduated from the advanced research class of calligraphy art of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, and worked in factories and government agencies successively, serving as an engineer and a county magistrate of the people's government.
