Before the National Day, the Sichuan Historical Society received a phone call from Mr. Su Shen, president and vice president of Changzhou Surname Culture Research Association in Jiangsu Province, saying that there was a descendant of Su Shi (Dongpo) in Tangba Township, Junlian County, and his specific lineage had been included in The Origin of Su surname (No.7 literature and history materials of Luancheng CPPCC) edited by Mr. Su Shifu in Luancheng, Hebei Province.

Today, there are 2/kloc-0 households in Mu Ying, Ganzi, Pingyang, Peacock Concentration, Shuangteng Bai Sheng, Junlianni and other places in Tangba, and it is noted in the genealogy of ancestral calligraphy that "the ancestor originated from Piling (now Changzhou)". In the early years of Shunzhi, Xu Qiao, Shangxiang, Wujin Temple, Jiangsu Province, moved to Xudu County. Today, the surname of Su in Junlian County, Xianfeng moved from Changgou in the third year (1853), and distributed in two towns and one township.

In March 2003, Su, a rural youth of ethnic minorities, went to Changzhou, Jiangsu Province at his own expense to find his roots. According to handwritten genealogy records, Sichuan Meishan Museum and China Su Society, he found the answer in Juxingtang, where Zunsu Dongpo was the ancestor. Su Rijian is the twentieth grandson of Su Shi, the tenth grandson of Su Fangtaihe from Lanxi, Wuxi, and the descendant of Su Shi's youngest son, Su Guo. Su is Su Shi's 29th grandson, and this family now has Su Shi's 33rd grandson. Su Guo's descendants are mainly distributed in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Guangxi.
