In the mid-1980s, the business department successively established and adjusted nine departments: woodcut watermarking room, calligraphy editing room, calligraphy periodical editing room, Chinese painting editing room, art editing room, teaching material editing room, New Year picture editing room, seal cutting editing room and international department. Published five periodicals, including Calligraphy (bimonthly), Calligraphy Research (bimonthly), Calligraphy and Painting (bimonthly), Duoyun (quarterly) and Oriental Art Market (irregularly).

1after August 1987, the reader service department, Shanghai Duoyunxuan Art Auction Company, Shanghai Shu Hua Trading Company, Duoyunxuan Pudong Branch and Shanghai Duoyunxuan Antique Co., Ltd. were established one after another.
