Emperor Taizong praised him and said, "Virtue, loyalty, erudition, writing and writing can make you a famous minister, and you can have both." Chu Suiliang worshipped Yu Shinan to learn calligraphy. With the guidance of famous teachers and personal efforts, Chu Suiliang made rapid progress. Many people flatter him, and he is complacent. One day, he asked Yu Shinan, "Can my handwriting be compared with that of my predecessors?" Yu Shinan said: "Zhi Yong didn't go downstairs to learn calligraphy for forty years, only his ancestor Wang Xizhi can compare." Chu Suiliang went to ask Wei Zhi again, and Wei Zhi wrote him sixteen big characters: "Take the strengths of others and avoid their weaknesses; Carry forward your own strengths and self-denial. " Chu Suiliang was deeply inspired. After returning home, he buried himself in calligraphy and finally became a famous calligrapher in the early Tang Dynasty.
