Chatting after calligraphy class

? This semester, we have two delayed calligraphy classes after class every week. The invited teacher is Comrade Bai, a member of China Calligraphers Association in our village. After the calligraphy class tonight, we talked for a while, mainly about some calligraphy writing methods. Unconsciously, more than two hours passed. We sent him out of the school gate, and it was nearly ten o'clock at night.

? Teacher Zhao Guoqiang has been listening to his class, and I only chat with him after the evening self-study, so the three of us had a good chat tonight. Taking his appearance as an example, Mr. Bai mainly talked about several stages that a person must go through to become a calligrapher, and some matters that people who often practice calligraphy should pay attention to when improving their writing skills. During this period, he showed us some excellent works and demonstrated the writing of some basic words and typical words.

? Among them, I benefited the most from the posting method he mentioned. I take the existing copybook in my hand as an example. Starting with typical words and basic strokes, he suggested that I delete the whole copybook and simplify it, find out representative words and practice by analogy. He doesn't recommend copying a whole copy. He said that you can choose a representative article and practice (words and strokes) in a targeted way. The whole exercise can be carried out after one month, and the obvious effect can only be achieved after three months.

? Then, taking the words "Phoenix, Flying, Home and Forever" as examples, he showed us how to open the strokes of Chinese characters, fix the order of each stroke, stabilize the center of gravity of the characters and write smoothly in one go. Finally, taking one of the articles as an example, he found several representative words and showed us the method of pasting the selected words.

? Listening to you is better than writing for ten years. Teacher Bai's insight, his heartfelt sharing and guidance will definitely bring unexpected results to our calligraphy practice.
