Pu Ru, a Beijinger, is the great-grandson of Daoguang. After the Revolution of 1911, Pu Ru lived in seclusion in Xishan. He devoted himself to study and research in Xishan District, Beijing, and eventually became a master of poetry, painting and calligraphy, and his works were collected in the Palace Museum in Beijing. The stone carving ink he left in the west of Beijing is a rare treasure and a valuable cultural heritage in the history of Beijing calligraphy.
Pu Ru, in his thirties, is as famous as Zhang Daqian, known as Nanzhang (Daqian) and Beipu (Xinshe); Later, together with the famous painter Wu Hufan, he was called Nanwubeipu; After arriving in Taiwan Province, he, Huang Junbi and Zhang Daqian were called the "Three Masters Across the Sea" in Taiwan Province's calligraphy and painting circles.
In Xifeng Temple, I was there personally, savoring Mr. Pu's calligraphy masterpiece, with a hook and a painting, which was somewhat clever. It seems that every stone and every word is endowed with spirituality.
