Key cultural relics in Leidashi town

"The misty Shi Xiajun, the maple leaves are hidden and steep." Because of Du Fu's eternal famous sentence, the temples on the ethereal shore gained great fame. Yesterday, this Buddhist holy land ushered in the 60th anniversary of 150 0 60. Under the bright sun, Xiudao Hengjiang and Lingyan stand tall, and the Millennium ancient temple is even more charming.

Kongling 'an is located on the west bank of Xiangjiang River in Leidashi Town, Tianyuan District, Zhuzhou City, commonly known as "Guanyin Rock", and 1999 is listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the city. Kong Ling Temple is located on the shore. It was built in the seventh year of Wuliang Tian Jian in the Southern Dynasties, that is, in 508 AD. It has a history of 1500 years. It is known as one of the "Eight Scenes of Xiaoxiang", and it is also called "Three Saints of Xiaoxiang" with Nanyue Temple and Yueyang Tower. According to legend, in the early years, Leidashi and Sanmen areas on the west bank of Xiangjiang River and Zhouping and Zhaoling areas on the east bank were all "land of plenty". One year, nine lions trampled on rice and devoured livestock and poultry in Hexi, trying to cross the river and endanger Hedong. Fortunately, Master Guanyin found that with one arrow, the nine lions turned into mountains and were placed on the west bank of Xiangjiang River. When the arrow fell into the river, it became an "arrow continent", and now it is an "empty continent". In order to repay the kindness of the lion in Guanyin Town, the local villagers set up a statue of Master Guanyin in Hongyan Natural Cave next to Jiushi Mountain, burning incense and holding candles, worshiping day and night, and later called it "Guanyin Cave" and built a temple called "Empty Temple".

Because of this, the literati of past dynasties came here to recite poems and paint, and they lingered. In A.D. 1098, Mi Fei, a great calligrapher in the Song Dynasty, wrote the word "Huai Du Yan" when he visited the empty shore, and it is still engraved on the hanging rock of the empty shore. Since then, the Empty City Temple has become more famous.

In recent years, all walks of life have raised more than 65,438+1100 million yuan to rebuild the space temple and build three new halls, namely, the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Hall, the Luohan Hall and the Daxiong Hall. The scale continues to expand, welcoming more than 65438+ 1 100 million tourists and pilgrims every year.
