In fact, I want to say that the knowledge of saints is all about self-denial, or just about self-denial. Although I think so, it should be too much for others. Self-denial is self-management, including self-reflection, self-restraint, self-motivation and so on.
Confucius said, self-denial, self-denial. It means, self-management, conforming to the ceremony. I believe many people don't know what a gift is, including me. Confucius said, the ceremony is very big, which includes all benevolence, righteousness and morality. In ancient times, there were rules of governing the country by courtesy, filial piety and morality, all of which required self-denial and dedication. I often see the voice of rule by virtue, and I still have it now. This is a political issue, as long as we know it, we don't need to care.
We all know the story of two children fighting for Japan, but Confucius didn't know whether it was near Japan or Japan. This tells us that saints are not omniscient and omnipotent. Even two children laugh at you more than Zhihu. But none of this belittles the greatness of Confucius. In this matter, Confucius didn't rely on the old to sell the old, nor did he bully the weak and fear the hard, nor did he lie to fool the children. Isn't this self-denial? It is in line with Confucius' belief that "knowing is knowing, and not knowing is not knowing".
Sages are eager to learn, but they are not omniscient. Saints forgive others, but saints are also strict with self-management. There are self-denial, self-denial, self-denial, self-denial, self-denial, self-denial and so on. Zhu's thoughts of preserving the principles of heaven, eliminating human desires and Wang Yangming's thoughts of unity of knowledge and action all have the meaning of self-denial, which is also the method of self-denial.
Bi Fujian is a typical example of failure without self-denial. When the house price rises, Li Ka-shing can restrain the greed of human nature and act decisively. Today, this is simply an act of god. Of course, I can't understand the merits and demerits of Li Ka-shing. What I admire is the feeling of not indulging in profit.
People say that profits make people dizzy. But in the meantime, I have met people who are not confused by interests. There is a person who has a very strong self-management ability at the moment before making a profit, and has the verve that Zhi Zhi often stops. I have never fought side by side with him since I embarked on the right path, but I will always admire his past, present and future, and strive to learn his spirit of self-sacrifice.
I said, maybe we have learned the technology of making atoms, and it's no use. But if we learn the knowledge and ability of self-management, we can use it anytime and anywhere.
People's abilities are different, and our abilities are not as good as ours. This is not terrible. The terrible thing is that we have no self-management, no self-management consciousness, will and determination.
